Company History

Makarios Communications was established

in October 2006,located in Crestview, Florida. We are an installations company that has contracted with several companies to install their products and represent their company and provide excellent customer service.

The owner of Makarios Communications,

James Douglas, has over six years of experience in the installation industry. After seven years working as an electronic test technician and calibrating automated

systems in long Island New York, James

move to Florida were he began installing satellites due to lack of demand for electronic technicians in the area. He began as a satellite installer and expanded into home theater, media center, and wireless

networking in commercial and residential homes.

James received computer training at Okaloosa Walton College in North West Florida and Computer Career Center in Long Island, New York. James is also a certified electronics technician and an SBCA certified satellite technician for DirecTV and Dish Network. We are currently working to obtain our Wildblue dealership. Install the computer to my satisfaction. I was very pleased with his service. I was very dissatisfied with customer service,** I was on hold for 20 minutes and no one had answered the phone. Just the fact that I could not get ahold of tech support when I really needed them. **(Refers to manufacturer's customer service and tech support hold time)

He came in and set it up in accordance with my expectations. I was somewhat disappointed that I bought a desktop and a notebook and he said he was not required to set up the notebook. I was not happy about that. There could be better communication from Manufacture to him on what is expected. He told me that he would also disconnect and set my computer back up. He did not do that. He moved it for me but did not set it up. It was my understanding that they would put it back in operation and he told me that it is not required. I was unhappy about that but it did not create a big problem. Generally speaking I am happy.

All of it went pretty smooth. He took care of me about my year end lease and took care of everything. He fixed so all of my computers were on the same time frame. He was pretty helpful. Some of the documentation is pretty lengthy. Some of the procedures to get it all back into place is confusing.

They came on time and put it together. I left it on the desk and they put it together with the wires in nice. I did not think that the printer would fit in there and the guy got it in there. I was really satisfied. The guy was proffesonal and polite. All the question and the installs he knew how to do that. Overall he was just a nice guy. Nothing the guy was great.
